The First Amendment to the U.S. Constituion provides me protection from this kind of tyranny:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
1. I have the right to freely express my thoughts and expressions, including in an on-line forum, blog or newsgroup etc., and the onus is only upon the owner of the avenue of delivery to require any nature of disclosure.
2. I have the right to protect my identity, particularly from the government, if I did not, the Government's desire to have access to Public Library records arbitrarily would have been upheld. I can choose to be anonymous to protect my freedom from tyranny.
3. This is also clearly covered by freedom of the press. Since when do I have to disclose that I am the author of a book, for instance, that flames a given administration? I don't. I can simply author it under a pen name as Anonymous, or even better, a fake name, if I so choose.
This is really ridiulous, and I am waiting for the first government official to come busting down my door for annoying you with this rant.

| This would be used for actual threats against an individual, or possible threats to harm someone else...not for simple annoyances. |
Not as written-- whatever the intent, it will be thrown out somewhere in the appeals process because it's too vague
