I Can't Get It Out Of My Head...Game

Saturday, January 7, 2006 by PoSmedley | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

So, I'm standing in line at the Sunoco...and some hyperactive-yuppie-dweebtard behind me starts singing.."Chim-chimeny-chim-chimeny-chim chim cheroo..."

It's gonna takes me weeks to get that out of my head.

What's stuck in your head?

aimzzz is an 'Orlando Basher'!

You are hereby forbidden to post anymore Tony Orlando songs just so you can bash the man. I realize I am not an Admin, so I can't stop you or delete them. However...

I do have these three cats I am holding hostage.

An irritating song associated with a good movie...

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

Movie tune I can't get out of my head..

The dark side's callin' now, nothin' is real
She'll never know just how I feel
From out of the shadows she walks like a dream
Makes me feel crazy, makes me feel so mean

Ain't nothin' gonna save you from a love that's blind
When you slip to the dark side you cross that line
On the dark side, oh yeah
On the dark side, oh yeah

This shows my age...but I was actually an extra in the movie.

Eddie and the Cruisers......... "is that right?"
If so, I really really loved that movie.......
is that the movie you were an extra in?

Today at grocery

Talk about the life in Massachusetts,
Speak about the people I have seen,
And the lights all went out in Massachusetts
And Massachusetts is one place I have seen.

Please come to Boston for the springtime
I'm stayin' here with some friends and they've got lots of room
You can sell your paintings on the sidewalk
By a café where I hope to be workin' soon
Please come to Boston
She said no, would you come home to me

A moment of steel
A dry-eyed house
Did he say goodbye to you
Or did you kick him out
I know youre not afraid
To go alone
But this was a marriage of spirit, flesh, and bone

Now whatcha gonna do
When the planet shifts
Whatcha gonna do
Gonna slit your wrists
Bleed all over the milky way
The stars in your eyes look red today

Cry love, cry love
The tears of an angel
The tears of a dove
Spilling all over, your heart from above
Cry love, cry love

The trust of a woman in his hand
But he was a little boy, not a man
You loved him stronger than he could feel
Yeah he was wrapped up in himself like an orange peel
Now whatcha gonna do
With the booze and the blush
Whatcha gonna do
When theres no rush
Cop a little misery
At the corner store
Well one day that train of pain wont stop no more

Cry love, cry love
The tears of an angel
The tears of a dove
Spilling all over, your heart from above
Cry love, cry love

Throwning up ashes on the floor
If this is a lesson in love
Well whats it for?
The heart will remember
The burning fire
The next time you feel the flame
Of desire

Cry love, cry love
The tears of an angel
The tears of a dove
Spilling all over, your heart from above
Cry love, cry love

Cry love, cry love, cry love

I recently noticed that there are certain songs that always start in my head when I am doing certain things. The most annoying is when I do the dishes. For some reason I start hearing, humming, and singing 'Breakin Up Is Hard To Do' and it's the Niel Sedaka version playing in my head. Worse is, I don't know all the words, so I keep going back to that little rift...
"comma comma com
doobie do dum dum
comma comma com
doobie do dum dum
comma comma com
doobie do dum dum..
Breakin up is hard to do.."

*I apoligize from the bottom of my heart if I have inadvertently planted this in anyone else's head by writing this post.

Yeah, I find that happening all the time....tunes popping into my head while performing mundane tasks....and refusing to leave until I take on something more interesting.

Just lately it has been Led Zep's 'Stairway to Heaven'. I guess cos it very much relates to someone I know....that her stairway, too, lies on the whispering wind.
