Drag file to launch?

Friday, December 9, 2005 by Adamness | Discussion: ObjectDock

Is there a way to drag a file onto a program icon in ObjectBar and have it launch in that particular program.

For example if I want to edit a .jpg in Imageready rather than Photoshop (the default image editor), can I drag the .jpg onto the Imageready icon, and have it open in it? All it lets me do now is add the .jpg to the dock, which doesn't do me much good.

If there isn't a way to do this, could it be added to a new version of the dock or something? Am I the only one that would want this?

Thanks

Do you mean ObjectDock because later you say...

could it be added to a new version of the dock

?

If you do mean OD then no, it's not possible at the moment but quite a few people are hoping for it's inclusion in a future version.
