Perhaps you would care to be a little more constructive in your note. Like explaining what seems to be the problem and whether you've contacted [email protected] and what their feedback was?

Your account record appears fine from what I can see. Install Stardock Central from storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe and configure it with your email address and Stardock.net password.

It should pull the records automatically and let you download and install your purchases. If it's not, then is it prompting with an error? Email [email protected] the login.txt file from the Program Files\Stardock\SDCentrl directory and we'll see what it's trying to do. You'll need to let it have access to the Internet through your firewall, local proxies, ad munchers, and whatever else you might have sitting there with a default DENY on letting things communicate with the network.

If you read the post below this one it will explain what exactly the prob is...I did Email some dude named Nakor, who ever he may be, he assured me that he will look into over the weekend which has just passed...As always, when people say they will look into something, nothing ever gets done...So this is why I left this post...

JohnnyPants:

I've read your other posts and I understand your frustration, however posting in the manner you did is counter-productive....sort of like shooting yourself in the head 'cause your foot hurts....

For what it's worth, this is the second time I've told you how to fix it and since your posts lack any feedback, I have no idea what you have or haven't done......

Drop your firewall until it activates and then re-enable it.

some dude named Nakor? i know him. if he said he'll do something, rest assured it'll get done. it'll get done quicker if a more civilized attitude is displayed, though.

Iv'e done that numerous time b4...Iv'e read other post's with people who have the same prob as me a while back...Some admin from Stardock would reset their account and all would be ok after that...So why is it that resetting my account cannot be done, which in my eyes would probably fix this prob...

OK....here's the problem; you've made 3 posts and you have yet to say what the error is. This is how it works; you tell us and then we help. Are you seeing the concept...?

I'm Nakor, for reference purposes. And sometimes things slip my mind, like SDC support emails from 12:30 on a Friday night.

At the moment, given what you sent me on Friday, I would lean quite strongly to the problem being that you've put in a hotmail address for Stardock.net in Stardock Central. Yet your account record is @gmail.com.

And for the record, if someone asks to see the error and is trying to help, don't go referring them to another post if it's something you could easily cut and paste. Or at least link to.

Nakor- ok, so all I have to is change the Email account to the Gmail, and not the Hotmail, right, prob solved, I hope...

JohnnyPant's, it has been a long time since I wrote a response to someone like you, but I just had to this time. I don't know where you are from, but you will have much better luck if you stop acting like a spoiled little kid and stop insulting everyone trying to help you. After all we only get back what we give. yrag is one of the most knowledgeable helpers on here. It would do you well to give him and the rest of those trying to help you, some respect. Now, try answering the questions with an intelligent and relevant answer.

based on what nakor stated above, i'd say that if you use the gmail account address, all will be fine. and clwoods is right. yrag and nakor have helped hundreds of people each and deserve respect. btw, Merry Christmas, everyone.

JohnnyPants, you are the one who has a problem understanding. As I saw your post, everyone was bending over backward to help you. I have yet to see a direct answer to any of their questions. And yes, yrag, Nakor and KarmaGirl are 3 of the most knowlegeable helpers here. I think you just need to look through better eyes. Then you would see how silly and rude you are. Glad you got your problem fixed. Now you need to work on your attitude.

BTW, Merry Christmas Snidley and everyone!! Smile!

JohnnyPants Guess you think it is really clever to be such an ignorant smart mouth with people who are trying to help you. Just remember no-one will offer to help again, and believe me, anyone who confuses e-mail addresses so easily and can't figure that out for themselves will need help again...  A suitable apology might go some way towards making amends
