Maybe one day it'll be a standard service in shopping centres, next to the place where you get your keys cut...

It is different and looks pretty good.

If it wasn't over 3 bills I would be ordering one for my next box.

That is why Windows laptops look worse than Mac laptops.
I assume there is a similar explanation for why the cases are so boring.

Being a purist...I went for a Lian Li case...made out of simple aluminium....well thought out...a real PC Clone case...room to move and add-on...no issues with fitting components....manufacture quality is pure function without pretension.
Those kiddie-cases are for kiddies....and like ANY fashion statement are old-hat tomorrow.
If you have the attention span of a gnat....you might think a Half-Life themed case is 'with it' and 'hip' every time you wake......but intelligent people prefer quality to kitch...

The best example of form-follows-function that I have seen was the Apple Power Mac G4. Even the cables inside where fitted in a way that adding or removing components was surprisingly easy. NOTHING got in the way.
You just opened the door (one side of the case) and the computer would lie in front of you, next to the case.

I'll admit Dell's black on gray with its smilie face thingy seems nice. I just think it can be more cutting egde... heck, not even cutting edge, just more designed. Have you guys seen the Dell XPS? Ghaaaaa...
