Prelude to the holidays

Jingle bells! Jingle bells!

Monday, December 5, 2005 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News

The Christmas holiday is nearly upon us. Stardock is working on an update to Holiday Desktop (announcement coming very soon) that will include a WindowBlinds 5 based Christmas skin.  Last year, Greenreaper made the Realistic Snow DesktopX object which allows users to have snow falling on their desktops in a very realistic manner.  It's highly cool. He's working on a full-blown gadget of it too.

Here are some other cool little wintery/Christmas/holiday type submissions:

More to come!

careful, guys. your holloween skin came real close to the day (and aparently was very sneaky - i never noticed it had become available). a lot of people gear up for holidays months in advance, especially with skinning. IE thanksgiving starts after holloween, winter starts after thanksgiving. I hope some of this stuff gets released before the 2nd week of december to take advantage of the season. We're alreayd getting snow and i see christmas lights up everywhere

I think there's a bug in this skin. Everytime when I drag my windows, it gets smaller.

Is that a bug? Or a setting went wrong? How can I fix that?

Btw: I love this skin. That I why I want to know how to fix that problem.

Thanks

is it just me or is the "gadget" link broken? I don't see any "full-blown gadget" when I click on that link.

That would be the "is working on" bit comes in. Brad linked to where it would be (the DesktopGadgets site), if it were actually released.
