Custom Coloring Broken in WB5?
Anyone else seeing a problem?
Monday, November 21, 2005 by Daiwa | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I've posted screenshots in the stardock.windowblinds.binaries newsgroup. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that the skin was done before WB5, but I'm not sure. I can't find a new setting I need to toggle in SKS for custom coloring to work and SKS Previews the skin with the correct colorization applied. The skin just doesn't get properly colorized when applied. Skins uploaded after WB5 was released (DogmaX4 for instance) seem to colorize correctly so I'm puzzled.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Daiwa

The behavior on my rig is the same with the 4.98[b].002 beta - colorization works for some graphic elements with masks but not for most. I've only seen this with the set of skins I have made using SKS, not with any that I've D/L'd from WC, which is what makes me wonder what happened. I've double-checked that the masks are still there, SKS (current beta) shows the colorization correctly in the Preview window, colorization worked properly for these skins using WB4 and as far as I know WB5 still determines that a skin is color-aware by the presence of masks. Very weird.
BTW, does AlienMorph have color masks or were you using the "force colorization" option?
Thanks again,
Daiwa

AlienMorph changes only the button background colors. I tried a few others also. 5imple changes the entire theme color. Maybe there is a mask or other setting you are missing? (on the themes you are building)

Looks like the release version should be spot on. Thanks for a great app and Happy Thanksgiving!
