Need help from computer guru

Start menu has gone haywire

Tuesday, November 15, 2005 by Psikotik | Discussion: Personal Computing

My computer crashed earlier tonite, so I had to reinstall from scratch. It was DEAD. After installing all my software, I went to my start menu to organize it and it won't let me move group or delete anything. I can't move anything into the start menu, nothing. Any ideas other than another 4 hours of reinstallation?

Are you currently logged in as 'Administrator'...or is it a limited user account?

If the latter you won't have access to system changes...

I fixed it. Even though "enable drag and dropping" was checked it wasn't working so I just had to turn it off and back on. As for the folders, it still isn't right, but I just went into Documents and Settings and edited everything from there.

Anyway, i am the administartor.
