WC Skinning Contest: Christmas Edition

After many emails inquiring about the next skinning contest, I'm in the process of putting together another community skinning contest.
This time there will be a few changes from the previous contests. The big change will be the judging method. Instead of downloads, the winners will be picked by a panel of judges.
Skins will be judged on originality, performance, style and quality. This contest will also have a chosen theme (Christmas)
I'm starting the contest with the WindowBlinds category. The 1st place winner of a Christmas WB skin will receive an OD subscription/extension.
The second place winner will receive a WinCustomize Subscription/extension.
I'm still waiting on the response of a couple of sponsors to add more prizes and perhaps more categories to compete.
As always my Email is open to sponsors that would like to contribute.
Christmas is about 6 weeks away. This should give everyone enough time to put together a nice skin.
The official announcement will be made during the week or as soon as the sponsors reply. In the mean time, open those graphic programs and get those ideas on the screen canvas

#1: Do you mean your WB is a Christmas skin, but not a stupid one, or do you mean that any Christmas skin would be stupid? (just curious-- none of my WBs have IQs)

I always enjoy these contests whether I participate or not. I don't envy the judges, though. Because of all the nosy questions people will ask.
Like...
Will seasonal (snow, ice...) or other holiday themed creations be acceptable, or is it strictly candy canes and santa claus type stuff?

A_67, can I ask/suggest that the deadline be the week before Christmas? It always stinks when AMAZING holiday themes are released the day of or even after the said holiday (Holy Day)?

i meant my skin was not a christmas skin, and i didnt want to make a christmas skin (is there any problem with that?) all i wanted to say was i have an idea of a skin to submit for the skinning contest, but ive never attempted to actually make a skin...

Threi, your idea is probably a good one. You could start a new thread and ask if any skinners would be interested in making it. A Blind is a lot of work, so it helps to be courteous (I know you are, anyway).

I also understand that not everyone celebrates Christmas the same way, therefore a Kwanzaa or Hanukkah theme will be equally accepted.
