WB having a problem with Corel Painter IX

Bug?

Friday, November 4, 2005 by Mel D | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I use Corel Painter IX. When WB is installed I can not use the Upper right corner close or minimize buttons at all. On neither the program or any graphic open in the program. I can use file/close but no minimize at all. That gets very annoying not to mention slows production time. I've tried several different skins and it makes no difference which I load up or by who. I'm using WB 4.5, my system is an AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz Memory: 1024MB RAM Win XP with no SP2 as it doesn't do well with some of my work programs.
This problem only effects Painter. But as Painter is one of my most used editors it is getting to the point where I've got WB unloaded more than loaded.

Exclude the Corel executable in WB Config/ Per Application

Mel,

The new WB 5 beta has fixed some of the issue with Painter IX (as well as Poser 5).

The main application window buttons (Min, Max/Restore, and Close) all function as they should.

The same buttons on any files opened inside the program still do not function.

Hopefully, there will be a way to include all inner file window buttons as well in the new WB5 when released.

Until then, yraq's advice is the way to go with WB4.5.
