Would I buy it? No! Wincustomize magazine is sent to me every month via email by Wincustomize for free.

I would buy it. For some reason I read better when reading ink than I do reading light. I will even print a long e-mail to read it with more understanding.

It's nice, but I would not buy it. However, I have a better idea.
Make up a "magazine" like this that showcases all of Stardock's products, and the skins available at Wincustomize. Stardock gets this "mini" magazine to be included in an issue of a popular computer magazine as a supplement.

The actual cover or the articles aren't really the point... I guess I was just trying to convey that this has potential as an endeavor, whether it be articles covering winCustomize only, or Stardock products, or a combination of both. Just thought I would ping the idea and see if I got a response.

If there were to be a WinCustomize Mag, i think it would have to cover more than Stardock (I still love you Frogboy!!!)
I guess I would buy it, but only if it cost 3.00 USD.
Personally, I think it being an online magazine would be better with the option to read as a Arcobat file. Maybe some exclusive prints can be sold for a price premium for those who want a physical magazine printed on special magazine paper (and it will be numbered for collectability and come with a CD and browser to install the latest picks... maybe even a s[ecial skin for those who purchase the limited edition physical magazine).
Just don't go crazy like deviantArt's Magazine. Keep it simple with add-ons. Multiple authors, revenue sharing, limited advertising placements and classifieds (for people looking for work or wanting to hire from web design to skinning to corporate identity - busines card, letterheads, junk like that.
What do u think of that?

100% YES.. With a disc that has 3 Premium Skins, figure those packages on the site go for 6.95 to 8.95. So to get a magazine and 3 skins for say 9.95 I'd call that a deal. Maybe thats just me though..

Great Idea for US, out here in user-land...sounds like a lot of management headaches for the Editor-to-be and Staff, tho...just something about the feel of glossy, expensive paper and photos and all that graphic content and Tech Notes that appeals to me. I'd pay a comparable $$ amount for an annual 12 copies, with CD, in plastic, delivered right to my door once a month. Hmmm...scary overhead, tho...got this thread on my 'watch' list for sure!

As someone who modifies their windows operating system (that's me), if I saw that magazine on a shelf, I would consider it a complete waste of money. I would also be wary of anyone who owned such a magazine, especially if they were behind me as I was bending over to pick something up.

Besides, the concept is what is actually being discussed, not the content. The graphic and the content are merely the idea, not the intended final product.

Looking at your profile, it would seem that you only modify through the work of others anyway. I would think that you especially would appreciate a few free themes, not to mention some good advice from some of the best skinning talent on the web, but I guess that is too obvious an observation to make. Other than that...do you know what I went through to get the 19.95 just to subscribe here?!?!?! My wife would put a Plutoniam P32 Space Modulator where the sun don't shine and not even blink. shudder.
