Cant remove docks.

Wednesday, November 2, 2005 by Jon Nej | Discussion: ObjectDock

I have a few unwanted docks that i cant remove.
When I open the "Manage my Docks" thingy, there are no docks to remove. Infact, i cant se any docks at all.

How can i solve this?

Uninstall, clear the cache, reinstall. Here's a link to a Object Dock tutorial Link
and one to clearing the cache Link

Is this the Plus version? or the free version? This tends to happen when you install the plus version without first uninstalling the free version. A big no-no as the installtion page for plus will tell you.

See if this link applies Link

Guess we'll have to get some additional system info. Some of the items I'd check would be
1. make sure you have the latest video drivers for your card
2. If you can (sounds like you can't) remove any docklets you have running
3. See if any other software might be conflicting with it. I had a network printer driver that would lock up and I noticed OD+ would always lock at the same time.
4. Physical Memory. Do you have enough?

Assuming you've already checked the above how about a run down on your machine, what software is loaded and running.

What version of ObjectDock are you using? The symptoms you describe point to a problem with an older version of ObjectDock, but it has been solved since then.

Make sure you update ObjectDock through SDC (assuming you have a ObjectDock plus licence )
