The people i think that help Wincustomize the most are....
Tuesday, November 1, 2005 by Bash2cool | Discussion: Community
Frogboy(of course): Because he's the one that actually tells us whats going on, gives us important news....etc...
T-Man, Jafo....and the rest of the moderators...: Because they help fix problems...and more of course.
Island Dog: Becuase every now and then he would tell us things that are going around the computer world and tells us about updates that we might use.
Apocalypse_67: Becuase he makes people encorage themselves when he introduces contests. (there also somebody else helping him but i forgot who so can you please tell me your name on this thread)
As for me the only thing (i think) i did good was to bring back commenting on skins.....cause during the summer, no body commented on each other's skins....like i said....(i think)
Well....tell me if i'm right or wrong about who is important here at wincustomize..
oh...yea, if there are people who think that they did something to help out wincustomize, just shout it out!!

| The younger amongst us may be rightly afforded more tolerance than the more mature who 'should' be setting them the example.... |
Also youngesters who treat mature people as they treat each other have the right to do that.
Which works both on the right and wrong side..

| Wow. Is everyone okay tonight, or what? |
Probably not scorpio. I believe I stirred everyone up with some posts in un-related articles. But, I think it's all better now.

I put in those 2 cents worth to support his thread idea. Again, I said I don't believe in these types of threads. Didn't say he couldn't |
Not 'couldn't'.....but your opening sentences were less than encouraging/supportive, if not condemning. To me, that's hypocritcal coming from someone who professes to be helpful, community minded and supportive....and that was my point.
And I don't believe in " suck up " posts. |
I don't see it as a suck job ( more trying to fit in, somehow)......and even IF it was a suck up, don't young uns do that to feel involved, wanted, needed and like they belong? Surely it's preferable that Bash sees people around here as his idols, heroes, peers, rather than thugs in a street gang, etc.
I don't know Bash's home situation or what his parents actually think, but regardless how they feel, it does not excuse anyone here being nasty or treating him with contempt.
Okay, so some are annoyed by his threads and 'silly' questions, but who here can say they never did at that age....and how many can say they never did sneaky stuff behind their parents backs? I know I did....so I won't cast the first or any other stone.

i mean i guess i should back off for a really long time.
you guys won't see this Bash as nice and friendly......welcome to the new me......

I agree. That Island Dog is one special guy.
But really, there are so many people here that make this site great, it's hard to name them all.

There is a complete lack of tolerance here from some quarters. It's not hard to see why some call WC elitist the way people get jumped on and savaged. Some folk just don't know how to be nice - guess being pleasant is a lost art...
If you've nothing positive to say, then don't say anything at all.

Starkers,
Don't you have a tree to hug or something? Any particular reason you keep applying to me in general? Go find some matchbox cars to put together.. YOUR point is invalid is the problem here. Should I act as a clown and juggle some balls for every thread posted? I played along and posted, that's being supportive.

Probably because you hijacked the thread for the worst.

Now since when have you known me as conflicting Night Train? Lol.. I didn't do nothing.

Double negative. Means you at least did something

Chris/Edgemaster.....please re-read your post objectively and honestly say there was nothing hypocritical about it.....
"Don't believe in"......atheist's don't believe in God or religion.....abstain from religious services/ceremonies.
"Don't promote everyone"......you only mention T Man, JJ Ying and Mike Bryant....."wouldn't bother downloading" but for those two skinners. Quite the opposite to your beliefs, don't you think?
Fair enough if only those people came to mind, given that there are so many contributors, but the "wouldn't bother" is derogatory and unsupportive of the 'so many' others, and is doing exactly what you criticised the thread for...not promoting everyone who contibutes.
My comments were not a personal attack....just trying to point out how not to alienate or upset others with such comments. By all means, play along....not suggesting you shouldn't, but I am suggesting to play a little more fairly
BTW....I will take up the invite to play with some matchbox cars......been what seems like an eternity since I last tinkered like that....not since about the 1950's as my kids never got into 'em so I could play too

Just my way of words. I meant no disrespect to anyone, especially Bash2cool for making the thread or the other skin artists. :/ And it's true though.. First works I ran across were made by JJ Ying and Mike Bryant by chance.. That's my only point from mentioning them really...
I too like matchbox cars, was hoping I could get a friend in the deal.

You need to find yourself some better kids...

| [Jafo] 14 or 44, we're all site members, so it's not appropriate to be singling anyone out, derisively. The younger amongst us may be rightly afforded more tolerance than the more mature who 'should' be setting them the example |
Well..looked to me that a post was in response to the subject matter..not the poster. (Bash) Yet was followed by " leave the kid alone" Its seems your only allowed to comment as long as you agree or sing " Kumbaya " lets all hold hands. Your right ..he has a right to post but we all have a right to respond without being lynched.
Which seems to be the trend these days.

As for being vocal..well..im not about to change my opinions just to suit the crowd. Regardless of any ....repercussions ..for use of a better word. Just tired the same as Fairyy~ as the "poor kid" bit. The same aspects of we're all members should be applied. Doesn't really matter on his age.
I know that feeling Fairyy~. You couldn't tell by my sometimes shrude comments on here (not to mean anything personal towards anyone) but I'm a father of 1. Poor little guy (8 month old) is sick and needs to go to the doctor tommorrow.
But also in Jafos defense, we're all members more or less... So I wouldn't spite him for it. I'd say if his parents don't want him on, they need to implement time restrictions better.
