Hide Desktop Icons ?

Question , is there a way to hide the Desktp icons upon starting ObjectDock?

Right click desktop > Arrange Icons By > uncheck "Show Desktop Icons".

Sorry , I should explain , i am on Win2k , i dont think there is that feature.
Plus , i was wondering if there was anything in the application , itself that
would toogle the desktop icons off as you envoked the application.

I think you're right.... that's an XP option only as far as know. Sorry for assuming you were using XP.
There's no option for hiding the desktop icons in OD, or OD+. ...........Maybe someday.

I use desktop X to hide all my icons, find this is the best way.
Load desktop X client, switch to desktop builder and select desktop tab and check hide icons box.

In Win2k It's under Active Desktop.

Thanks Everyone , aint community great, I will use DesktopX , I love Object Desktop , everthing
a Desktopoholic needs.

I use sysmetrix, and it works pretty well:  (1) Run sysm. on the desktop; (2) Right-click sysm. anywhere on it;(3) Click on 2nd option down:"Configure Sysmetrix"; (4) From the list on the left of the now-open config-box, click Interactive Buttons, then "Add"; (5) In upper-right corner, open drop-down menu and scroll down to "Desktop, Toggle Icons". Click. Now you should have a button in the upper-left corner of the skin on the desktop. [[More likely, you won't have a button unless your open skin/theme has one or more. No problem: Move a button from another theme into the one you want to use*, and select it via the Configuration Window, right under where you found the "Desktop, Toggle Icons" drop-down menu.] *(drag'n'drop from one Theme to another using right-click and "copy".    [Admin:Delete this if it's too long, or inappropriate... ] Hope this is helpful:)

Microsoft's TweakUI will also (selectively) hide desktop items.
