Changing background causes problems

Saturday, October 22, 2005 by adk1977 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Whenever I change the background to any of the WB themes using display properties the display properties box goes blank and then says "not responding". I am then unable to remove the display properties box. When I reboot to cure the problem my changes are not applied. I wanted to change the StealthOS background to black but am unable to do so. I have unchecked the option to use any supplied wallpaper. With previous beta updates this was possible. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
I am running WinXP home edition SP2 with WB5 beta version 4.90g[b].003.

Move the StealthOS wall (.bmp) image out of the "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\StealthOS" folder, to a temporary folder - and then try to change the background.

Tried that to no avail.

Any skin and any change to the desktop picture leads to the display properties blanking out. This window then is unselectable and "not responding".
