allSnap is a small system tray app that makes all top level windows automatically align like they do in programs such as Winamp or Photoshop.
It's quite cool and it's free!

Reminds me of a program I tried out a while ago called WinPLOSION
It's a pretty cool program, I belive it's based off of something done in OSX.

I've been using this for a long time, it's a superb little thing that has to be used for a while before you realise just how cool it is. Its solid as a rock, no stability issues or weird side effects that I've ever come across. I like the way you can add sounds, if you pick really subtle ones it can really enhance the attach and detach effect.
I modified a sample of an electric car window going up and down, so you get a dull muffled clunk and a slight twist of leather as you put windows together and a reversed sample when pulling windows apart. Sounds better than it reads lol I never seem to come across any really useful and bearable in the long term sound packs for windows/program events, always have to end up making my own.

I've done quite a lot of system sound events that I think are a cut above the windows ones, if anyone knows where I could easily release them (they are all original, no copyright problems) I'll do that and put a link here.

For some reason, the screenshots page does not display properly for me....& I haven't drunk enough coffee this morning for my non-geek brain to put pictures to the winspeak.I have WB5 & run an Expose' clone called Topdesk; is Alsnap more wonderful? Topdesk costs only a couple of bucks, & I love it, but I'm willing to try anything.
I am also really interested in soundschemes other than XP defaults.......

Topdesk (like WinPLOSION) is an entirely different type of application from AllSnap. They don't do the same thing.
BTW, out of curiousity I installed Topdesk and WinPLOSION. Topdesk said it couldn't run at my resolution (1400x1050) and WinPLOSION popped up a virus warning in Symantec.

ahhh. handy. a lot of people forget that windows already has an option to cascade and tile open windows - not like expose but, in a manner which is the same sort of solution... right click on the task bar and you can do it.
however - some of us don't use a taskbar
putting this option in the system tray means if you have an object dock for your tray, you can use that to control your windows.
( hey widget makers, hint hint.. make a widget which tiles and cascades windows! )

Shove-it is another handy program along these same lines. It will push back onto the screen windows that have been placed beyond the edges of the screen. In addition, it will optionally resize windows that are too large to fit onto the screen. http://www.phord.com/shoveit.html
