| I would maybe pay 10 dollars for OD, but no more. I have better uses for my money like FF7: Advent Children and the PS3. I can hardly afford to spend all of that money on a few programs that I can easily get for free. |
You can get WindowBlinds 5 (or equivalent functionality) for free?

Problem identified.
Solution, severely crippled versions or timed versions. I don't think it's in Stadock's best interest to release WB5 the way the current shareware is setup. Just my 2 cents.

I couldn't agree more, and have said as much several times on other threads. I am glad that a non member has spoke up and told the truth. Something myself and many others have already done. Why would you buy something you can get for free? Shareware versions of most programs usually expire in 30 day's. Most people are willing to take a limited version of any program for for free when there is no time limit.

I am glad that those of you with like 20 computers in one room all with T3 connections can do it. So my thanks goes out to you. Keep this place running so the non-millionairs can use its stuff. |
Okay, so the millionaire with the 20 T3 connected puters, please step forward and own up to your fabulous fortune. It's your responsibility to keep this place afloat for freeloaders, so come on, cough up and throw your money around so that non-contibutors can freely benifit and ride on the coat tails of those who have.
Oh, and while you're at it, Mr millionaire, please reimburse me for my WC and OD subscriptions. You see, I'd rather have spent the money on a Playboy subscription (I only read the articles) and a 12 month supply of Coke. If not, then how about paying for their renewal? Yes, I could save the money for that by giving up drinking smoking and Friday nights out, but then I'd most likely want to spend those savings on PlayStation Games to compensate me for the sacrifices I made. Look, there's no point arguing and trying to explain how I could easily afford it, cos I'm a bludger and will always want it for free.
Sound familiar?

In regards to WB5, it does not have the kinks worked out of it yet. I have the beta on my work PC but am waiting for the alpha for my home PC.

| Purchase WindowBlinds 4.6 in 10-27-2005, how upgrade to WindowBlinds 5 beta? |
it's only available to Object Desktop subscribers - you should be able to get the released version once it's released.

| You see, I don't have the kind of money where I can spend $50 on Object Desktop when I already have it. The only thing that makes it worth considering to buy is WB 5, and that is hardly worth 50 bucks. I am glad that those of you with like 20 computers in one room all with T3 connections can do it. So my thanks goes out to you. Keep this place running so the non-millionairs can use its stuff. |
i'm glad to say i paid the $50 - on top of paying for my one and only computer *which was about $800 over a few months to get the parts* and when using components that are part of object desktop a day - 50/365 = like a whole 13 cents a day!! so little for what you get out of it all.. the $50 isn't only for wb.. geez have you visited the page for it? it lists what all is included...

ps3 isn't out till next year - and i'm sure that you really paid for ff7 - it's been leaked online forever now - and either you are buying a crap copy from ebay or paying big money to get it directly from japan *one site i know selling it direct from japan - a very good place for japanese products, it is $60 + s/h from japan* - ... wb5 is what, $20?? od is $50 - hm which is a better deal.. not hard to figure out
