Is this considered to be a rip?

Okay i spent some days now trying to make a nice wallpapers package to complement TSF's great work Alienware Invader.It has 44 walls in total at all possible resolutions (even wide and double screens). I've uploaded it and it got rejected. I've sent mail but got no response,sooo i'm leaving it to public judgement. Is this considered a rip or not? Please do keep in mind that i made all graphics in Photoshop,no copy-paste here,all were redrawned. And trust me space scenes take time to make.

Some things may be a rip even though they are your own works. For example, I was so inspired by DanilloOc that I wanted to pay tribute to him. I looked at his 3fx wall and did what I could to create a very similar but original wall. Danilo was a gentleman and did not say a word. It was posted on a couple of different sites. Then a good friend of his told me that it would be considered a rip even though my intentions were good, basically I stole an idea. I did not argue it, apologized and removed my submissions. Here is his (of course, incredible work) and my attempt to pay homage.
My only point being that original stroke marks can still be a rip of ideas, and although you may win a suit if pursued, it might be the right thing to remove it.
All of that being said, I have no idea why your wall was rejected. It is very similar to the Alien Invader wall, but clearly different. It's good work, but maybe rejected for another reason.
Just thinking out loud, Cyber. Only the rejecter can tell you for sure.

Haven't been able to access the Mod Queue for 3 days....till today...[darn these weekends]...so haven't seen the submission at all....

Buzzh58 the rejection mail just says that it violates guidelines. Only guideline broken is the originality thing. And i think it is a pretty obvious the inspiration-intented to be used as wall for Alienware Invader. Maybe is considered idea rip as SD said,dunno for sure...btw SD nice work,original one,yet so similar,but since it was done without you knowing about the original work i guess that is just to say it is original. Thank you for the quick responce guys...

Am just looking for it....my first thought is that it's the old issue of 'space scenes are the hardest things to pull off well.....[I remember kicking BoXXi's attempts, ages ago]...

I think downloading 3+ meg of 44 versions of essentially the same wall is a bit of a stumbling block.Perhaps there were just too many versions/sizes....and therefore too much 'bloat' for such a simple wall image. 1088x612 ?.....hardly a common resolution....

the mods here get tons of uploads every day to deal with. so many that they cant send an explination to each that is rejected.
also most of the mods here are volinteers so it may take a while to get a response to an e mail asking why it was rejected .. typically after an e mail is recieved the mod who recieved it talks to the mod who rejected it to see if they can get an answer for you ... some times it may take a while for 2 mods to actually run in to each other ...further delaying the reply you are wating for ....

I thought that was it's strong part...the fact that it comes in four designs at all possible resolutions...and is only 3 MB's.
Actually these are the offered ones:
Normal Screen:

It's not up to the public to determine if something is a rip. If i didn't answer you that doesn't give you the right to still post things asking the public for their opinion. Because in the end if you ripped TSF it wouldn't be the public we'd sue it would be you. Catch my drift? I don't consider your space scene a rip but i want you to remove the blue lines on top and bottom which is from the logo we created. I don't want people to assume this was sanctioned by us or Alienware.

Outdated? I'm still using an 800x600 monitor and forcing myself to adjust to 1024x768 resolution. Just how big do people need their monitors? The size of the entire desk? It's not a television.

Those 'really' are all that are needed, at most.
Considering the simplicity [and darkness] of that wall....any one size OR aspect ratio could have been used via 'stretch' to desktop and no-one would have been the wiser....

So size of d/load was not the factor..but, keep in mind..for me most wall downloads take 12 to 20 minutes if too many sizes are in Zip. Which is why its most appreciated when the preview is a savable 800x600 or 1024 version. Although I notice some are putting logos through samples because they insist you download a 5 mb zip. Just makes me not bother.
