XP Graphics Problem?

Lately I have not been able to see anything in the user account section of the xp control panel and the search panel. The border is there, the home/back buttons are there but just a blank background inside. In search, little mate (the dog) wags his tail and wants to help but no balloon. I reinstalled my graphics driver but that did not help. I don't believe it is a windowblinds (I also run other stardock products) problem. I must have something checked/unchecked somewhere.
Any ideas?

Just double-click to install after downloading. It is both safe and the current version for XP.
