Problem with the resize of the Applications' Windows
The taskbar gets overlapped by the windows...

After I uninstalled a DesktopX 3 theme, wich used the whole desktop - maximizing the windows to fully acomodate it -, my windows won't snap to the taskbar. I might sound very noobish, and this is my first post here, but I hope some of you kind souls manage to help me out. Thanks in advance.

No such luck, Sir Bichur... I fooled around with the DesktopX Builder, and if I set a value for the bottom part of the work area, it kinda solves the problem. But the warning notices or the windows' names - that appear when we mouse over them -, show up behind the maximized windows, not in front of 'em. I'm in a real pinch, here...

Maybe it's a cache thing...Corky O has a tutorial on clearing them on his page.
I just had that issue the other day, except mine was leaving a space top and left. I can't remember if the refresh worked - but now I'm thinking it didn't.
Put your workspace back to normal. In DX objects, there is an animated wall called Castle - Link - It's one I revert to a lot when I get ready to build one or revise. It's objects are in the middle, so there is nothing to make the windows change location. Now I'm think I ran that which overrode the 'ghosting' position of the windows from the other theme. Probably any theme that doesn't have an object or widget on the edges will work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, and a million thank you's more, my friend. The "clearing the cache" tutorial did the trick for me. I'll always be in your debt.
Edit: Actually, no, it didn't. It was just that the default theme was edited by me to kinda cut the work area, so the task bar would show up... I'm still in the same place as I was.

Which default theme?
And when you say uninstalled (in your orig post) did you mean uninstalled or unloaded? If you meant uninstalled, put it back, put back your work area and unload it. Then clear the cache and then uninstall if that's what you want.

Not sure if you tried this; don't see it specifically mentioned. Open the Configure DesktopX Builder panel, and select the Desktop Tab. Click on the Workarea button, and uncheck Reduce Work Area. You mentioned changing the bottom value, I wondered if you turned it off all together, though?
And have you rebooted since the problem appeared? Sometimes I accidentally cause ObjectBar to crash, and when this happens my windows start maximizing smaller than normal. Reloading, unloading, reloading ObjectBar doesn't help me then, only rebooting.
