Maximize Window Lock

When the taskbar is used, windows are set to a "maximum" height. Are there any programs out there that can set this maximum w/o having the taskbar open so that the ObjectDock does not cover the bottom of the window?

I wish I could remember who told me this, as I use it all the time now and would like to thank them. In any case I can pay it forward. If you use WindowBlinds and have SkinStudio, even the free version, you can change a setting, but you have to do it for each blind you want to use.

Select the blind in the Windowblinds Advanced Configuration screen and then click Edit in SkinStudio.
In the SkinStudio window, on the left, click Window Borders.
Now, somewhere in the list on the right should be an attribute Screen Edge Clip - Bottom. Select this attribute.
Now, near the bottom of the screen is a place to enter a Value. Enter a negative value (this is a number of pixels and will depend on the size of your docks). I use between -32 and -36.
Now I usually save the entire blind under a new name, but is up to you. Then you can apply the blind via the Tools menu in SkinStodio, and you're set.

I just use objectdock to hide taskbar while keeping taskbar on top of all windows. For larger docks, drag your taskbar up to height first. But then, I use the free version of ODock.

I dont use object dock, but I DO like each window maximized and un-hidden. I have found this great little (FREE) progoam that makes this possible. Every time!! Ive been using it for a while now and it's wonderful! Weather or not it will fix your problem with object dock, I dont know. Give it a try.

I'm thinking WinFX can also set a max size.

crissy.... there doesn't seem to be any way to set the size of the maxed window in that program, so it would create the opposite problem of having the window cover the dock.

Bichur.... yes, WinFX will allow you to set the max size, (but doesn't work well with dual monitors that aren't the same resolution).

But why run another program, when WindowBlinds will handle it? Just takes a couple of minutes to set up a skin in SkS.
