Driven insane(r) by the Texas heat,I packed up the car with everything I owned(basically my pc and clothes)and drove north.The non plan was to keep driving till I got to Boulder,ran out of gas(I left with 2/3 a tank and 5$),or broke down.
While admiring the beauty of Garden of the Gods on a short detour,my temperature guage pegged out hot.Water poured straight thru the water pump.
What a beautiful place to break down!I'm staying.
Pikes peak here I come.

O... that is a very beautiful place. They have a marathon straight up Pike's Peak... they call it the 'Run to the Sun'. Boulder is nice too.

Aspen... except for the cost. Aspen is where I would like to be. Glenwood Springs isn't bad. They have this naturally heated swimming pool open all year. It's huge and when it is cold you can swim in snowflakes and steam!

You are in my favorite part of the country. Colorado is a beautiful place. If you ever get a chance, go check out Lake Granby in the National Park. It is breath taking.

I spent two weeks in Gunnison CO a few years ago. It was one of the most beautifil places I've ever been.
I hear the Winters can be brutal, though. Maybe you can take up skiing.

Hey, IR, upon leaving Texas, a friend of mine noticed that, well, things formerly considered of grandiose proportions had suddenly shrunk somewhat 
Guess things here in Oz don't pale in comparison after all

THAT is an understatement.
Be sure to go through Estes Park on your way to Grandby. Trail Ridge Road is breathtaking. It's the highest road in the USA that is a through road.

Oops,was away from a library longer than I thought I would be... Fixed the car(sort of 
)Gonna stay the winter here.It cost 10 bucks to drive to the top of Pikes Peak,so that trip will have to wait a bit.I've made a little money fixing computers for pawn shops but havnt found a real job yet.
If this places gets old,Oregon sounds nice,then maybe Seattle Washington,Canada...who knows?
