Need Help: Font Colors Not Showing With Certain Skins
Cannot View Certain Pages With Certain Skins
Sunday, August 28, 2005 by TheOtherGods | Discussion: WindowBlinds
As you've all known, certain skinners make certain fonts in certain areas show up a different color in order to be read properly (i.e. gray fonts for a sking with black buttons).
However, there are certain personal favorite skins I use which make things such as my email completely unreadable, because the font shows up white on a white background on the page.
The only way I can think to get around this *might* be to adjust the fonts in Windows settings to a different color in order to fix the problem.
However, I'd like to know if there's another way around this?
The font color is "hard coded" into the skins, so it cannot be changed there.
Let me know if anyone has any solutions.
Much appreciated

I use Gmail right now, but I've used Hotmail for many years, and certain skins change the background colors of the text box as well as the font color.
The skin "Darth" is the one that creates the white on white situation.
"Darker", for example, turns text backgrounds gray, and the fonts on a lot of pages gray on white, where it should be black on white. That's at least readable thought.
Gray font on white instead of black, for example, happens with "Darker" skin on IGN.com also.
White font on background occurs at IGN.com with "Darth" skin as well.
