Problem opening topics with SDC

Friday, August 26, 2005 by Tarkus | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues

All day today, whenever I try to open any topic in the forum using SDC, I get this:

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30455: Argument not specified for parameter 'AdZone' of 'Public Sub WriteAd(AdZone As String, [UserLevelAccess As SDNetLib.CustomerLevel = CustomerLevel.Subscriber], [AccessLevel As Integer = 6])'.

Source Error:

Line 16:

Line 17:
Line 18: <% WriteAd() %>
Line 19:

Line 20:

Source File: E:\www.wincustomize.com\browser\forums.aspx Line: 18

I have no such problem when using Maxthon, as I am now.

I can't help you Tarkus, but I wanted to say that exactly the same with the exact same error message happens to me (since today).

SDC has not been updated recently, so it is most likley an error with the site. Hopefully an admin will come accross this thread.

this is a test of opening a topic and replying in a forum using SDC.

this is weird...
I went from SDC back to FF and something seemed off...

Here's FF:

Here's SDC:

What happened to line 18?

another thought, you guys aren't getting close to subscription expiration or something? kinda looks like it can't decide whether to show you add or not, and just confused itself.

Bichur, you have to open a topic from Discussion in SDC to get the problem (which is still present). When you're using Web Browser, you're really just using IE.

Ah, I see you don't have a Discussion link (on the left pane). That's odd. Maybe something in your settings?

Regarding the differences in your screenshots, I believe IE treats anything in brackets as HTML code, and will simply hide it if it's invalid.

crud...

Under "Show Detailer Compiler Output" the first line is so long my neighbor called to complain.
then it says: E:\www.wincustomize.com\browser\forums.aspx(18) : error BC30455: Argument not specified for parameter 'AdZone' of 'Public Sub WriteAd(AdZone As String, [UserLevelAccess As SDNetLib.CustomerLevel = CustomerLevel.Subscriber], [AccessLevel As Integer = 6])'.
