Convert TGA to PNG
What is with JoeUser? Because of their failed SEARCH, I can no longer figure out this feature! Can you help?

Oh, this is so unbelievable! JoeUser has finished reloading their blogs, but not their search! I once saw a blog that talked about the CHANGING TGA TO PNG option and what to do with it. But now it is lost to me! Can someone either give me the link or show me how to use this option? Thanks!!

Open SkinStudio, Tools, Prefereneces, in tree menu select Image editors, check Convert TGA files to PNG before using image editors. This will open image as png in your graphics software so you can edit it. When edit a TGA must save in SkinStudio when done so it will change new PNG back to TGA and replace old TGA.

I still don't understand some points. Where are the PNG files? When will the PNGs be converted? How do I save the PNGs in SkinStudio?

SkinStudio/WindowBlinds do not use png, in SkinStudio it converts png to tga when imported into skin, and when want to edit a tga it converts it to a png then opens the png in your graphics software. When save changes in graphics software then save changes in SkinStudio it converts the png you have edited back to a tga so WindowBlinds can use it. This is handy as most middle of the road graphics software handle png better than tgs images. It just makes creating and editing easier.

Just one little question though, why don't SkS and WB5 use PNG directly?

Another easy way to convert them is just click on them and if you have Microsofts "Picture it!" it will open up in that and you can then "save as" whatever you want.

BUT! You can't just save a png and expect transparency or alpha pixels to be there. So, I'll ask: what's the best way to make a png with transparency, for example, a taskbar? Does the png need to be layered? Or is it just the opacity/tranparency level (0-255) that needs tweaked?
