Slow Flyout Menu on Top Dock

Tuesday, August 23, 2005 by g3brown | Discussion: ObjectDock

I have ObjectDock Plus with 5 docks. (1) I have autohiding dock on top for quick launch, (2) dock on the right edge with time, date, and temp, (3) dock on bottom edge with system tasks, (4) autohiding dock on bottom right edge with task tray, and finally (5) a autohiding dock on the left edge with start menu, shutdown etc.

I have flyout menus on the left and top. If I click on the flyout menu at the top it drops down fine, but when it expands out left and right it if very slow. Right after I reboot my computer it works fine a few times, then becomes slow again. I should also mention the flyout menu on the left dock always performs perfectly. I have adjusted all the performance options I could find and none seem to help. Anyone else experienced this or better yet, have a fix?

Here is one of the flyout menus I'm having trouble with...

I get exactly the same problem. Flyouts work fine on the bottom dock, but really slowly on the top dock. Did you ever find a solution?

Try setting the ordering from normal-z ordering to always on top. for me the speed dramaatically improved.
