What features are XP-only?

Sunday, August 21, 2005 by Bolthus | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I have the newest WB rev (running on Win2k SP4), but the glowy-things that everyone keeps talking about don't seem to work. Also, when I apply a theme, none of the Explorer icons change like they do in the screenshots. Do these fextures require XP? I have IconPackager as well...is that required to change Explorer icons? I'm sort of fuzzy on what features will and won't work on Win2k

Also, is it possible to get an idea of what upcoming WB5 features will and won't work on Win2k?

(P.S. I won't upgrade to XP. I've tried it (it came with a laptop I bought) and after three days I had the store put Win2k on it becuase I really did hate XP that much ).

Hate XP? No way.

I think Stardock is focusing on adding features to the XP version because that is the larger audience, and is also easier to do.

I wouldn't expect the transparent Window borders to work, if WB5 supports Win2k at all....
