Rainlendar

Always on top

Thursday, August 18, 2005 by Julian G | Discussion: Beginners

Hi guys, I've just downloaded the Rainlendar. I installed it and everything is cool except for one thing.. It minimizes when I click "Show desktop". Is there any workaround to this? I would like it to stay visible on the desktop. I would have to maximize and minimize a window to get it to appear again. Thanks in advance.

Go to Rainlendar configuration, then to Layout ,then Position and check "always on top". That will keep it on top of all windows.

I don't think that's what she is asking ^^^. I'm having the same problem as you are too.

there were some other posts on this before - can't find them

something about some of the items on the desktop aren't really on the desktop.

don't know how it ended - but i ended up setting hot keys in rainy so the ctrl+up arrow brings it back.

I'm at work and don't have rainlendar here, but I believe your problem is fixed if you set the level to desktop--that way it will still be showing when you show desktop. Before you try that, try using the shortcut key "windows+m" and see if it works that way (that key just minimizes all the windows). Forgive me if you already use that method, but a lot of people use the "windows+d" combo or its shortcut.

I think it would be better if you choose "On Desktop"

just tried a couple of options
on desktop = stays with meta+d and meta+m
on top = stays with meta+d and meta+m

meta = what they call the 'windows' key in the help menu.

It's done! Thank you so much guys! All I had to do was click "on desktop" and now it still shows when I click Show desktop. Thank you so much
