A Suggestion

A New Button Might be added

Hi folks!!!! Yesterday, while browsing Detailed New Skins Page (Link) I realized that there should have been a button to download the skin instead of view it because the thumbnail represents the outlook of the skin and clicking on the thumbnail leads you to the main view of the skin. The same action can be done through "View" Button which is placed in the last colum. This view button can be replaced by a "Download" button so one can download the skin directly from there as he/she has already seen the thumbnailed preview of it. What do you think ... ?

yup! Often when I browse the gallery I look down the page and open either preview or more detail in a new tab. After looking down the page I click next and while I wait for next page to load I look at the tabs I opened. Then I realize I have to go back to download the skins. A bit akward, so yes, I'd like such a button.

I agree. Clicking the thumbnail already opens the view - change view to download.

In theory I think a download button could be there as clicking thumbnail or skin name takes you to the skin. I personally would not download a skin based on the tiny thumbnails on New Skins page, would want to see a larger view. When click thumb or name to see larger view there is a download link there.

You really shouldn't download anything without reading the description first, and you might want to leave a comment or rate it as well. You can't do any of those things on the browse pages.

Think about the new people who come here and ask a dozen questions when half of them would have been answered if they just read descriptions.

Those of us who subscribe have SDC or the WC Browser for ultra fast browing and downloading anyway.

I agree with everything you said except that...... try using SDC, or WC Browser on dialup........ what you get is ultra slooooooow.

Yes, a download button would be more direct...and a brief descripion could be included on the browse page for those who need to know more details....and comments could still be left from the d/l page once the skin has been downloaded and can be viewed in better detail on the desktop.
