Is that a surprise? What else are they supposed to say? That's business. That's why Intel and Microsoft are where they are. Get out your slingshot and head out after them if ya want.

As usual, the lawyers will win and prices to the end user will rise.

I agree with Night Train. Another useless lawsuit that will cost us in the end. AMD just guaranteed that my next processor will once again be an Intel.

Why would you buy a Intel chip when you know AMD to be cheaper and outperform Intel? And by the the way - Intel is slipping DRM into it's new chips...

I'm pretty sure prices will remain at or below what people are willing to pay.

If not, they'll adjust.

Intel is just taking plays out of the Microsoft playbook. AMD generally has a better product than Intel, so Intel is making up for it by playing the bully. If things go the same as they did for MS, by the time things are sorted out and settled, Intel will pay big fines, say we won't do it again and AMD will be in worse shape because of all the legal bills.

I don't know that AMD outperforms Intel. I know AMD's run much hotter. I know that a cheaper product does't equal better performance.

Apprentice Island Dog - here is some info for you. Notice that AMD chips outperformed Intel chips in every test save one? And the funny thing is is that this was a test of an Intel chip!!!

Yeah, sorry Zero, stating the obvious does tend to make all the speculation kind of unnecessary sometimes
