Unable to use links in Object Dock now.....

....When clicking on a web link an empty IE screen comes up. Won't recognize the links. Works fine on my desktop puter but not on my laptop. Installed Norton Security 2005 instead of upgrading 2004, like I should have. I have tried all I know how. Any ideas? I would uninstall Norton 2005 and let XP Firewall handle it. Why oh, why.....did I mess with the unbroke thingy. Just need to know if it's the Norton Firewall or not.

Are you using Icon packager? Open IP, Tools, Repair shell icons.
Reboot. Test.

Hopefully you saved the ObjectDock theme before running into problems.
You can try deleting the cache, which will force ObjectDock to load the default theme, and will also prompt Norton firewall to alert you and have you select an action (note – Norton will alert you if this is the configuration which has been selected. It is usually the default installation configuration).
To delete the cache, do the following:
- Unload (Quit) ObjectDock
- Open “My Computer” and go to “Tools > Folder Options > View tab”, then select “Show hidden files and folders” and click “Apply”
- Go to “C:\Documents and Settings\”user name”\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock” folder (where “C” is the letter drive, and “user name” is the name on account when logged on), then delete any “ObjectDock” folder found there.
- Restart ObjectDock (the default theme should start, and if configured to do so, Norton will alert you and ask whether you want to Allow, Block, Allow once – “ObjectDock.exe” internet access).
- Select “Allow”, then “OK”
- Test ObjectDock functionality using default theme
- If all is well, use Dock Settings dialog to load your saved theme
Note – deleting the cache will remove the current theme from cache, so if you have not saved the theme prior to deleting cache – you will need to rebuild the theme from scratch.
