In-game screen-captures are hardly the stuff of great walls.  The horrendously large 'picture frame' detracts significantly, and 5 meg is a lot to DL for walls all of which are one [odd] resolution.

The most commonly used resolutions are 1024x768 and 1280x1024.  All these were neither....

Guess if your still on dial-up that would be a bummer.

They are 1280x1024, the frames are a neat little trick. If you select stretch from the desktop properties dialogue you use the frames, if you select center you dont. Its because each frame piece is 100 px wide so thats 200 mon each direction. note that in the resolution. try swapping between the two and see for yourself

but just look at some of them! the quality is amazing. and Arena Net lets me make walls. Ill admit its not the best but there are some people that can find uses

I resubmitted it this time with the right description and the three step instructions to choose for frames or no frames. which are right click desktop, select properties, go to desktop tab, select my background (or one of them), and choose the center option for no frames, or stretch for frames. a version for 1024x768 will be released soon

I looked...but was not 'amazed'.  Screencaptures in-game 'can' be amazing....the first public release of shots from Doom3 certainly were....but they were on high-end graphics machines specifically displaying the potential for detail, etc.

These Guild Wars screencaps may be better than Wolfenstein 3D but then that was many years ago....

Hey Jafo, bash the submitter all you want, but lay-off the graphics! Guild Wars is graphically pretty freakin' sweet.. at least as MMOs go..

GSW...I'm 'bashing' neither.

What I'm doing is called 'educating'.  Screencaptures rarely make good images for much of anything other than promoting the game itself....
