Icon tray problem

Saturday, June 18, 2005 by darktritium | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Hey guys. I've searched around for an answer but I couldn't find one. What's the deal with this?

Why are those white lines near the top? Whats the deal with the hide/unhide button area not being all the same color? I can't seem to fix this problem. I'm running Windows XP with updated ATI drivers for my laptop. I just purchased Windowblinds and have version 4.5.

Thunder Storm. I have that same problem with a few other skins too.

darktritium,

Does the problem exist if you run a single Taskbar?

Just trying to narrow the search for skinners or other advanced users.

Yeah, I still have that problem when it's just a single taskbar.

Works correctly here. Sorry, I can't offer any suggestions other than making sure your windows settings ... font sizes, icon sizes etc. are at default.

All of those are at their defaults.

Weird...it's working after a couple reboots.

Nevermind. It's back to being screwed up.

Delete and redownload the skin?

Uninstall, reboot, and reinstall WB?

I have the same problem with ThunderStorm... not with any other blinds, though...

I've tried everything to make it go away, but it wont... shame cos it's a great skin.

Yeah, I've given up on this problem. I ended up reformatting my computer and doing a fresh install and updating my graphics drivers, but to no avail. Maybe this is an ATI graphics card issue? I say this because I noticed that (this sounds off subject) when I was looking for updates for Half-Life, I noticed they had an ATI specific fix. The graphics card would not correctly render underwater areas and the fix, well, fixed it.

I guess this is what you get when you actually PURCHASE software...

darktritium, what do you have your quicklaunch icons set to? If they are set to large then that will throw off the way the system tray works. Maybe a screenshot of the entire taskbar might help.

Well, I've never thought about that. However, my icons look normal to me.
