Flyout

Installed Object dock no problem
2. add and remove programs and work with out problems
3. add and remove doclets no problem and work with out problems
4. add any flyout menu type, install no problem and flys open perfectly
the problem is for example installing my computer.
Click my computer...flyout menu opens, I can scroll in either direction how ever if I try to go to another hd or folder the flyout menu colapses without opening the selected hd or folder.
any suggestions
system XP sp1
Athlonxp 64 Asus mobo

double checked mouse is normal..
1. single click opens flyout (ie my computer)
2. try double click on an icon in th eexpanded flyout and flyout colapses
3. try single click on icon in expanded flyout and flyout colapses
very odd

That is strange indeed.
There are a couple standard things I would try:
1 - Delete the ObjectDockPlus cache to force default theme > try to add a flyout menu (My Computer) > test the operation. If this fails, I would create another type of flyout menu (say Program Files), and test that.
2 - Create my own theme with a new dock and remove the default docks > save the theme > add a flyout menu and test that. Create a custom menu from the flyout menu in this theme (right-click flyout menu entry>select Custom Menu>use Add button to create contents).
3 - Unload ObjectDock > uninstall ObjectDock > reboot computer > delete both the cache folder and the ObjectDock folder in Program Files > reinstall ObjectDock > reboot computer and test.
Note - I have seen flyout menus collapse when clicking on a ".zip" file (which was deemed a read-only file by the program).
I am out of ideas beyond that and would hope for better assistance here, or contact tech support at Email

hello if installed objectdock plus 1.2 opened it with no problem
But I need Help where can I add flyout menu???
under create docks or my docks I only can create tabblet or normal dock but no flyout menüs could u please help and discribe what I have to do....thanksalot

Right-click dock > Add > New Flyout Menu.
The dialog box will offer a few preset flyout menu types, as well as the option to create your own custom menu.

Well, this answers one question I had - sort of.
I'm a newbie to the StarDock products. The first question I had was regarding a system browser applet (docklet?) on the order of the My Computer fly-out menu. However, I was hoping for something closer in design and use to the Explorer Start Menu. Just in the little time I've been playing with Stardock stuff, I'm coming to the conclusion that it's way too heavy on the eye candy, to the detriment of performance. On my 2.8ghz machine with a gig of ram, everything feels sluggish.
I added a My Computer flyout menu for system browsing, but after clicking on it, I can count to 4 before it flies out. Then, because I have a dozen or so partitions on this system, what I get is an arc of nine hard drive icons, all unlabeled. I have to hover the mouse over each icon to find the drive I'm looking for, then click on it, and count again to 4 just to get an arc of (again, unlabeled) folder icons. Now with partitions with twenty or thirty root-level directories, how am I supposed to find the folder I'm looking for? Why aren't these icons labeled? Eye candy galore, but useability sucks.
Can all that animation be disabled to improve performance? Is there anyway to display more than nine icons at a time without having to cycle through? And can the fly-outs be made to fly out on a mouse hover rather than a mouse click?
As things stand now, these flyout menus are EXTREMELY tedious to use.

i agree with that one they need to lable all the icons in the flyouts and make it so that the further you go to one side of the menu the faster it scrolls rather that just the one speed.

KWLee..... if you're after speed, Flyouts are not the way to go. Try this....... add new shortcut, set it to My Computer (using the dropdown menu in the link field), enable the "Show folder in a menu" checkbox (below the link field).
See if that's more to your liking.

Normally, a single click on a flyout menu entry will open the entry to the next level, and a double-click will collapse the menu.
If you have changed any mouse settings, you might try setting them back to default settings and test a "My Computer" flyout menu.
Not sure outside of that.
