Help with PS

Thursday, June 9, 2005 by Nocen Intus | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I recently got a PhotoShop7. And I'm new to PhotoShop, does anyone know how to turn pictures into the 16 color format used by bootskin, through PH 7? Any help appreciated.

You just go to Image>Mode and select Indexed Color. A window will pop-up and you state there how many colors you want the image to be indexed in! Then you can choose the way it is processed-dithered via some options below, those will need some play around to get to know them. I hope these lil help.

in the BMP save screen dialogue, before it saves, it will give you a dialogue displaying the save options. just selct 16 bit and and windows OS and ur set! (well, thats how i do it, but i use Adobe Photoshop CS2. If you need, you can send the files in a .zip file to me at [email protected] and ill set it up for you. dont worry, i wont try to claim credit for any of your works.) also, thanks for telling me what to set it at for bootskins, i had no idea up till now.
