Why Would Longhorn's PLEX GUI Be Controversial?

Sporting a controversial Plex look, this successor to Windows XP is still in alpha phase and will most likely look quite different when released in 2006. This in itself is a good reason to take a closer look.


Controversial? I have to say I might not like the look for use everyday, but controversial seems a little much for a GUI that is still in its alpha/beta stages.

Besides, there are other looks aren't there? Like the Aero look with its transparent border and black windows.

Yes, I hoped they'd explain their claims. Even though it was pre alpha, I couldn't see much controversial about it. More coneservative if you ask me.

(btw, they just took it down from the frontpage)
