Adding the plus and minus to a dock instead of question marks

When the icons go beyond the size of the dock it put question marks that switches "pages?" How do I change them to a plus and minus icon? Thanks

Corky, I believe he means on a tabbed dock when you have more icons than will show in a tab and you click on the plus or minus, it shows the extra icons in that tab. Yes, just a plus and minus png in the folder will do it

Hey Corky O, I have two or three styles of the plus and minus png's but I do not know how to actually change them. When I right-click it doesn't give me the options like the shortcuts do to change the image.

Okay,
Let me see if I understand. You have one of the following two issues:
(1) You are using a tabbed dock which is shorter than the space needed to display all entries, and the Plus and/or Minus images are working - but you want to use a specific style and are unable to do so because they do not offer a "right-click > dock entry properties > change image" option.
(2) You are using a tabbed dock which is shorter than the space needed to display all entries, and the Plus and/or Minus images do not appear, but the "default" question mark appears instead - and you are unable to use the "right-click > dock entry properties > change image" option to change to a Plus or Minus.
If I am not mistaken, the Plus and Minus images are part of the program (meaning they show up automatically when the program sees that the dock parameters are too small for the amount of entries), and therefore the program displays the image located in it's directory (folder) named "plus" or "minus" - depending on the need.
The only way to change these images, that I know of, is to replace the current images named "plus" and "minus" with images you want (the new images must be named the same "plus" and "minus", and must reside in the same folder - which will obviously over-write the current images).
The solution to both problems should be - to decide which "plus" and "minus" image you want to use and place it in the "C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive), and remove the other styles - (you may want to save the other styles of the "plus" and "minus images to a folder in say "My Documents" for future use).
Note - by providing only one image for the "plus" function, and one image for the "minus" image in that folder should allow ObjectDock to display the image of your choice when needed. If you had a question mark being displayed instead of the Plus or Minus, and there were multiple images named "plus" and "minus" anywhere in the ObjectDock folder mentioned above (even in sub-folders), the program may have been confused and displayed the "default" icon. I am not a "coder", so I don't know why for sure.

Corky_O, I have issue #2 and I have removed all but one plus and minus png.. I unloaded OD and restarted my computer but it still has the question marks. 
Is there something else I'm missing??

In your ObjectDock installation folder, i.e. C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\ two png images must reside called minus.png and plus.png. If they are there, they should show automatically.
You can define them in a theme ini file though, by adding these lines:
[Extras]
PlusImage = Backgrounds/6070b Tabs/6070b_plus.png
MinusImage = Backgrounds/6070b Tabs/6070b_minus.png

You may need to clear your cache first.
Save your theme > unload ObjectDock > open "My Computer" and go to "Tools > Folder Options > View tab", then select "Show hidden files and folders" > click "Apply".
Now go to "C:\Documents and Settings\"user account"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive, and "user account" is the name on account when logged in).
Delete the "ObjectDockPlus" folder found there.
Restart ObjectDock (the default theme should load).
Use "Dock Settings > General category > Load Theme button" to load your saved theme.
This should set things back to normal - if not, you may want to save any downloaded images, backgrounds, etc. to a temporary folder, then uninstall > reboot > clear cache again > delete the "ObjectDock" folder found in "C:\Program Files\Stardock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive) > reinstall ObjectDock Program.

I copy and pasted your lines to the theme ini. but I don't know if I put it in the right place. Is there a specific place I need to put those lines?? I'm using the K-Tek theme with 4 docks.

I have tried all I can to get the plus and minus to work but it does not work. Can anybody help?

If I am not mistaken, and you are talking about a dock that is too small for the entries you have created, they should automatically show.
Do you have two "PNG" images (1 named "Plus", and 1 named "Minus") in the "C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive)?
Not sure what you mean by "switches pages".
