I'd just had an mail exhange with treetog, who was a little surprised off what's going on about a little Bootskin (which i did for my own use and just wanted to share ) ... As i know him since a while (and him back too), he told me he had about 2 weeks for getting permission from http://www.trekships.org/antares.htm to get permission to use their walls ...
I'm not a ripper, you know that, but you're trying to present me like this ... i think that's not really fair from you specially because you're an admin and you know different things ...
It was just a little comment apart from what i think about Stardock practises ...

The length of time it took Renato to get permission is irrelevant ........ YOU either have permission or you don't. ........and btw.... no one has called you a ripper.
Now get over it already. Either upload your BootSkin with veriable permission include, or keep it for your personal use.

En effet les règles doivent être les mêmes pour tout le monde. Il se trouve en l'occurence que ce n'est pas franchement le cas, et oui je maintiens que le Sir Jafo a (toujours pour une raison que j'ignore) particulièrement quelque chose de pas bien net contre moi ...

I'm at a loss to see how that is so difficult to understand. It's the same for everybody, we turn away many, many uploads each day for the very same thing. No one is being victimised or treated differently to anyone else.

neophil78 ...no, I do not 'not like you'. The rejection of an upload due to lack of permission happens to everyone, no matter who, what or why. If it were Frogboy wanting to upload without permission it would be rejected [and yet this is his site].
This is a simple issue of obtaining consent before you 'share' the bootskin with others.
You still have no consent from the wall artist. treetog said it took him 2 weeks to get consent from them....maybe you just need to wait longer to get a reply from them too.
So far I have received no communication from you by email to explain this situation, however you have received 4 from myself.
As to 'accusing you of being a ripper'....that's not quite right, but distribution of an artist's work without prior consent is an issue of copyright and must be acted upon. This is often called 'ripping' [to put it simply], though it is not a deliberate intent to deceive it is still breaking the 'rules' of this, and other sites to do so.
For the curious....this is thread number 7 relating to a trivial issue which can be solved by....
Please wait until you receive direct permission from the artist to modify and distribute his work as a bootskin BEFORE you upload that bootskin to this, or any website.
Hopefully Patric [Paxx] can translate this thread comment accurately into French to assist in communicating its content...

Which I believe means: Treetog permission? - yes.
I have seen no indication anyone was trying to present you as a ripper.
All i see, on all posts: no permission = no upload.
Why cry?
just be happy => rejection not because work sucks.
