Docks show thru screensaver

Wednesday, May 11, 2005 by thosj | Discussion: ObjectDock

I just purchased ObjectDock Plus and notice the docks show on top of the Windows screensaver. I have one normal dock and one tabbed dock, both show over the screensaver. Is this normal, or is there something I can turn off/on to have this NOT happen? I've looked around but nothing obvious to me.

I'm just using the WindowsXP screen saver, no fancy 3D screensaver with sound and flashing lights or anything.

There's a Z-ordering option under the 'Positioning' option for the non-tabbed docks.

Similarly for the tabbed docks.

Mine are set to 'Normal' (non-tabbed) and 'Always on Top' (tabbed) & I have no problems using the default WinXp 'Logo' screensaver.

Further, the non-tabbed docks have an 'always on top' option in the right click menu - mine's off FWIW.

OK, I got it fixed, but not sure how/why. Setting non-tabbed to always on top means on top of screen saver, too. For tabbed, now I can't get it to show on top of screensaver no matter how I set either type of dock!! Before, both were on top. Likely some little buglet.

And.......if Stardock is here, my opinion is they should NEVER show on top of screen savers, but perhaps that's just me.

Thanks
