Installing in my office

I have desktop x, Icon Changer and all the sweeeeet! programs on my home computer..I love the widgets especially.
My one thing i have been trying to do is install the "notes" widget on my computer at work. I used a USB disk to save the "notes"
widget and tried copying to my work computer, but my work computer said I need Active Desktop installed. Then have a firewall up so i cant download it.
Is there a way i can take the Active Desktop program from my home computer and install it on my work computer,so i can then install some of the widgets I like?

Need to check with an admin regarding home/work and if it falls under the 2 puters but only one is used at a time - me thinks it don't
left an option at your other post regarding this

If you purchased Desktop X, your license allows you (and Stardock actually encourages you to) install it on both your home and your work computers, as long as you are the main user of both these computers. Stardock licenses are per user, not per computer. So as long as both computers aren't used at once (by two different people), it's fine.

As for your firewall issue, your best bet is to burn a CD with Desktop X on it.
Did you purchase Desktop X alone or as part of Object Desktop? If you got it through Stardock Central, you may not know how to save a copy of it. Here's how to make a backup of your Object Desktop programs through Stardock Central. You'll just need to install Stardock Central on your work computer and use the restore option.
| To make a backup of ObjectDesktop, please use the File->Archive Application function. This will back up the application to the \program files\stardock\SDCentral\backup folder. Once each of the packages are backed up, please move the \backup folder to a safe place. (here's where you burn your CD) When you would like to restore from the backup (on your work computer), install stardockCentral, copy the backup folder back to the \Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\ folder. Now in StardockCentral go to File->Restore Applications to get them back. |
