Colors in bootskin

Wednesday, May 4, 2005 by leilaj | Discussion: Skinning

I tried to make a boot skin with the help of a skinning tutorial I found on wincustomize but it seems that something's wrong, I mean the colors aren't those that should be even the picture is an indexed one in a 16 colors mode (made with paintshop pro).
I'm french, using a french XP version, does it mean that there's some kind of bad talk between XP and Bootskin??

I looked at the color palette and found that the palette begins with the black color and ends with the white one, tried to fix this in ordering the colors 1 and 2 with black and white but then colors goes on messy ;.((

What's wrong? Any idea??

As well as 16 color must be 640 x 480 4 bit bitmap. If you are using a progress bar it must be made using colors from the 16 color palette of the main image. Progress bar size is 22 x 9, must also be 4 bit.

Any 16 colours you like....

BUT

Both images MUST have the same palette.

Do NOT think you can have 17.

You can't.....
