Centering icons in a dock bar

Monday, May 2, 2005 by Jdoki | Discussion: ObjectDock

Hi

First time poster so hope I'm not asking a question that's been done to death! I couldn't find an answer on the search...

Anyway, here goes...

I have a tabbed dock running the length of the top of my screen. I want one of the tabs to contain the My Pictures folder as a Flyout object. However as I have the bar stretched across the screen the My Pictures icon appears on the far left, so when it expands I only get part of the folder list on screen.

Ideally I'd like to be able to make icons appear in the center of the dock bar, so the Flyout will appear in a more convenient place for viewing.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Right click the dock > Add Entry > New Separator.

Separators on tabbed docks appear as a blank space, to move them, you hold down the SHIFT key, while you left click and drag.

This can be a bit tedious if you have a long dock with only a few icon on a tab, but if you use enough sperators, you can get things positioned as you like.

The developer has said he will be adding dynamic spacers in the future, but until then, this is the only method I know of.
