Alienware reveals pair of Star Wars themed PCs

Star Wars themed cases and desktops arrive

GameIndustry Magazine is reporting that premium PC supplier, Alienware is about to release a series of Star Wars branded personal computers. The two machines, which arrive just in time for Episode III, each take on a particular theme (the light side or dark side). They feature artwork from all 6 movies.

Alienware recently created a uniquely designed and configured case for the launch of Half-Life 2, called the City 17 system, which proved to be a major hit with gamers seeking to upgrade for one of last year's most anticipated games - but the Star Wars cases represent the first time that Alienware has partnered with a film property, UK marketing manager Mat Bettinson told GamesIndustry.biz.

The Star Wars branding doesn't stop at the case level.  According to Alienware, the Aurora Star Wars edition feature exlusive Star Wars content including movie soundtracks, wallpaper, fan club membership, and game demos.  The machines come with Windows XP along with a custom version of Stardock's Object Desktop called Theme Manager OEM to deliver the Star Wars branded desktop environment.

the cases look great, but i prefer clean ones. but my biggest complain would be the price tag, alienware is an exclusive brand and now with this option, i'm guessin even fewer of us would be able to acquire 1
