Personal Pages Updated

Thursday, April 21, 2005 by Flyin | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues

Hello all,

For those special users with personal pages, we have made a fairly large update.

Our main focus was to make them faster, especially the home page so you can make it your homepage and not have to wait so long for the page to load!!!

Please note that we have not made the updates to the main site yet so any type of site interaction you do such as posting articles and comments, will not be reflected on the relevant portions of your personal page just yet! waiting to do more testing!

Please post any bugs you encounter or just want to leave a general comment about the personal pages, post to this thread so we don't have to search for feedback!

Thanks all!

Happy skinning

Flyin

Yay!

One thing I notice is that using Firefox the tabs at the top of the pages are usually not tight together and have white space between them.

One thing that I have noticed: It takes a long time to get into the My Skins pages...

The rest of the personal sites are great ( ) but the my skins page is quite slow....

It's the same as the rest of the pages.

It also can depend on how many skins you have there...

Thanks for the work, Flyin.

It is well worth the small investment we all make.

Peace.

The Photo Album has a problem. It comes up with the message 'some server side error occured' when trying to upload. Others have noticed this too. I've only used a small amount of my space, but cant get past 43 pics...

Umm, I updated a skin last night and now all of my skins have disappeared from my library. Is this normal?

I don't see that you ahve a personal page, i do see your skins in your myskins page though. can you give me more feedback as to where your skins are missing?

The stats on your myskins page will be different from your stats page because the stats page only updates once a day. so i hope that answers your inquiry

Fuzzy... Ma man. We're gonna need something better than 'some server side error occurred' to debug your issue. When you see the error again, do me a favor and copy the text it gives you fire off an email to me.

The difference is not so much now (about 500) but 'Stats' still has more downloads.

Hmmm, the plot thickens. It's only certain photos which won't upload, though they are all jpg. The error is...

NO that dosen't answer my question as the stats page is always 2000 counts ahead of "my skins" stats. Shouldn't both should read the same?

It appears to me that the Stats page still shows the download count on stuff that has been deleted but the My Skins page does not. I can see this because my Stats page shows 2k downloads on screenshots but I have only one screenshot currently showing in the database with about 36 downloads. So...the Stats page always shows about 2000 more downloads than the My Skins page.

Could this be what Kona & Meowy are seeing?

Nothing of mine has been deleted. The problem is simple. My stats page always shows more download counts than my "my skins" page.
