Problem w/ text color in dark skins

Wednesday, April 20, 2005 by Zarathustra0287 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Hi, I really like alot of the dark skins, but alot of the text, for example, in firefox tabs is also dark, and unreadable. How can I change this to a more readable color?

Dark skins are impossible to do and have 100% compatibility. Too many programs (like Firefox) use hard-coded text colors. Although, if Firefox is your main concern, you can switch to a skin that uses it's own tabs and colors, like Whitehart. It's a work-around...not a fix...until Windows changes the way font colors are handled, dark skins will always get these problems...

That Firefox skin is here -> https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=9&LibID=38

You could provide your own Firefox theme for people to download. Worse with other programs though.
