I have already read it, but I think that there are some interesting features that we really need here 'on the other planet.' Expose needs to be implemented into Longhorn better then it is now.

Very good article- considers first Tiger article I've seen to consider something beyond the Spotlight and Dashboard features (like the "hype"). All-in-all, Tiger does appear to be a great product, and the imminent release certainly gives the impression that Longhorn will simply be a pile of imitation features (at least, those that might actually make it to the final Longhorn release ).

This: "If you can look past Apple's corporate bravado, you'll see that Tiger is one impressive cat. And unlike Longhorn, it's shipping now. What a concept." left me with a wry smile on my face...unfortunately, the man is right. C'mon Billy get your programmers into gear, you've made us wait long enough already.

,
I assume that this isn't worth the $130 for really just three new features.

3 new features? As someone who's played around with Tiger, I can tell you that there's a heck of a lot more than 3 new features just in the usability department alone. It's a da*n fine cat.

It may not be release yet: 'Apple sued over "Tiger," requested injunction could prevent launch' http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1039

Well my copy arrived today, so that won't stop the launch. At worst, they'd have to pay up and maybe change the Tiger to another cat. I can't see it happening though.

10.4.1 is very nice, even on my Mac mini its faster than Panther

Only know what's being reported.

There's an update on the page:

Update: Tiger Direct claims a preliminary injunction hearing is slated for Tuesday, May 3, several days after Tiger is scheduled to go onsale.

Seems a little late in the game, if you ask me. May somebody's lawyers need pink slips.

Ooh...I really hope Apple gets its arse kicked over the trademark violation.

Poetic justice.

Revenge is sweet...

But will they?

Considering how late the hearing date is, the judge may just throw it out. If Tiger Direct was truely serious, wouldn't they have gotten their act together before now? For I know, it could be someone's idea of a marketing ploy (a bad one).

Oh well... What do I know? I'm not a lawyer or in big business.

Best way to create most 'drama' is to wait till the 12th hour, rather than the 11th .... the panic and potential injury is far greater...

Using the courts to market a product is as bad as celebrity antics in the court room. And not anywhere near as entertaining.

P.S. There really needs to be a spell checker on this forum, a grammar one would be nice also.
