ObjectBar 2 is coming
Better, stronger, faster

Stardock is nearing the final stages of ObjectBar version 2. ObjectBar is a program that is designed to enable users to create their own desktop bars that can replace or suplement the Windows Start bar. Traditionally, ObjectBar has been used by people wanting to give Windows bars that are similar to what is available on other operating systems (such as the MacOS Finder). But with ObjectBar 2, Stardock is hoping to give ObjectBar users the flexibility and power to create all kinds of useful yet visually enticing things.
Amongst ObjectBar 2's new features is the ability to embed DesktopX 3 widgets, a completely new, easy to use interface, a skin editor, support for the new Stardock virtual desktops, and the ability to export ones ObjectBar themes as programs (EXEs).
ObjectBar 2 is one of the programs that makes up Stardock's Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com). Check out the linked article below to get more information.

One genuine question to Stardock: I'm really curious about what is the thinking behind this? Why would you take an excellent program like OB and break it into separate apps (Right-Click and the new OB) and remove functionality?
I really hope that the final version has many of the issues addressed on the newsgroups resolved. I really want to be an OD subscriber, but as of the last version I saw of OB, I can no longer justify it.

after my od expired, i'm thinkig about to renew it. I want to know
1. when it will be possible to use Windowblinds with 2 Monitors on nvidia Graphicscard in horizontal Span-Mode with activated Desktop-Manager?
Today if i have on the second (right) Monitor an application which is switching to fullscreen, this app is moved from Windowsblinds automaticly to the first Monitor (left). So Windows Blinds is not usable.
2. When will ObjectBar support png files (for Icons etc.) so that i can use Graphics transparently between windowblinds, ObjectDock etc.
3. If i use in objectbar widgets, these widgets are shown in the taskbar from object dock plus, it doesn't matter if the widgets are configured to not show themselves in the taskbar.
4. If an application is startet which is bussy while computing something (MS Access Forms are retrieving data over the Network, Objectbar (all versions) is simply blocked and not responding, so that it is not possible to start the next App for working on. The normal Windows Startmenue is working, also Object Dcok Plus does not have this problem.
Thanks for your answeres
