Anyone here have a Home Theater Personal Computer (HTPC)?

Anyway, you know those multimedia rigs that Microsoft, HP, and other companies are selling for $2000 and up? turns out they're pretty easy to build. AND you can do it--in most cases--for about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost of the OEM rigs.
So I was wondering if anybody out there has built one, and if so how do you like it? How do you have it set up? How much did it cost you to build? Etc., etc., etc. I'm seriously thinking about building one myself because it seems like it would be fun and rewarding. But then, isn't any DIY project rewarding?

If you like that you might want to check out the User Interface software called Meedio, that can be used with an HTPC setup. It's pretty cool also. I'm sure that a DesktopX interface could be built to do the same thing, but I don't know how to do scripting.
Anyways. Enjoy.
