Can someone tell me where in the config files I can alter the type face on the favorites menu?

No problem. Since last update I have noticed a few skins I have with no font values set, but they have 8 to 10 preset
fonts. It takes longer to setup a preset, than to select one for menus or whatever. I don't understand why someone would set that many preset fonts but not use them. Had one skin 12 presets, font not set for 75% of fonts.

Open skin in SkinStudio, explorer tree on left, controls-menus-pull down item, on right, section, select fonts then select one of preset fonts from drop list, or select add new font to use what you want. Hope this helps.
