remove address text from explorer

is there a way to remove the 'Address' text, next to IE and Explorer´s address bar?

I think he wants just the 'addresss' text removed, not the whole thing.

Right click and hit "Customize" then down in the lower left hand side of the box, you can tell it to turn off the text labels.

It worked on the "Address" text on my system (Windows XP Pro SP2), but not on the "Links" text as suggested in the same article.

There was a fix to remove the "Links" text, but you'd have to get rid of entirely. If I remember correctly.

I don´t know what´s going on... I can´t save/replace the changed browselc.dll. When i reload the file right afer changing it, all is back as the original file...

Yes, xcorpion. In addition to Reshack, you will need to download the Replacer to replace protected files or system files in use. http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/
Make a copy of the file you want to edit and store it in a safe place. When you have edited a script in the string table with Reshack, be sure to click on another for the script to be compiled. Save the file in a temporary location and use Replacer to replace it. Reboot and see the changes.
